SAMS Civil and Drainage is a family owned, locally operated business based in Mount Maunganui specialising in commercial and residential drainage, civil and earthworks projects throughout Tauranga and the Bay of Plenty region.
Our team is led by award winning drainlayer - Sam Arundel (recipient of 2022 New Zealand Plumber, Gasfitter or Drainlayer of the Year award). SAMS Civil and Drainage is proud of it’s well-garnered reputation and is a trusted name in the drainage industry throughout the Bay of Plenty.

Being listed as Tauranga City Council approved contractors with our drainage services enables us to carry out new lot connections, ideal for any large or smaller residential subdivision projects needing drainage and stormwater connections.

Director and Lead Drainlayer Sam Arundel is a Certified Drainlayer and plumber (Registered Member of the Plumbers, Gasfitters and Drainlayers Board (PGDB)). With over 20 years experience in the plumbing and drainage industry Sam takes a practical, solution focussed approach. Having worked across hundreds of civil and drainage projects Sam has the knowledge to skill to guide your projects to achieve maximum efficiency with a quality outcome.
Sam was also the winner of the 2022 New Zealand Plumber, Gasfitter or Drainlayer of the Year award.
