About the role

We are looking for a capable drainlayer to join our team! Whether you are a second year apprentice, qualified or certifying drainlayer we would love to hear from you.

SAMS is a locally owned drainage and earthworks business based in Mount Maunganui, with jobs spreading across Tauranga and the wider Bay of Plenty region. Our scope of work offers a lot of diversity - Alongside drainage and civil works we also provide a wide range of earthworks services from site prep and auger drilling to driveway creation, pool excavation, site clearing, cartage and more. There is always something interesting on the go or something new to learn. If you are someone who is practial, keen to get stuck in and thrives on variety this could be the role for you.

Key things we are looking for:

• Second year Apprentice, Qualified or Certified Drainlayer

• Full Class 1 licence (Classes 2 & 4 are advantageous)

• Hard working, physically fit, punctual and reliable

• Professional manner, knowledge and confidence to liaise with a wide range of tradespeople and clients

• Positive can-do attitude, must have initiative and a solid work ethic

• Pride in your standard of workmanship and maintenance of equipment

• Operate with Health and Safety at the forefront of operations
